Welcome to Sajjanpur

Welcome to Sajjanpur, a film by Shyam Benegal, is one of those films which challenges the bollywood style of film making where unbelievable and unimaginable events take place.

This film is a comedy which will make you laugh out your hearts. Unlike bollywood movies, every Indian can some or the other way relate to leastwise one character or an event that takes place in the film and that's why the film would be very much liked. A very down to earth, this is a must watch if you have come from a village and now become a big person.

The movie was more character based and not a story based. All the actors in the film have played a role more than they were expected and that's why the film is absolutely splendid. The only thing that wasn't required in the film, I felt was the song sequence which could have been easily done away with.

A very down to earth, this is a must watch if you have come from a village and now become a big person. Enjoy.

P.S: You got to understand hindi properly before watching the movie

I think this movie was a total drag! Right from the beginning till the end, it revovled around Talpade and it certainly wasn't close to being gripping!

Well....i never said it was gripping....and yea it does revolve around shreyas talpade but the other characters also have a major role in the film...and the humour i must say is very different which is why it is very nice to see and hear....I appreciated the film for the humor shown in film and the actors acting...

it's atleast way better than films like Singh is King and Welcome(The before two are comedy productions from the bollywood industry)
